Our History:
In 1951, the Spirit River School Division borrowed money to build a centralized school at Eaglesham. Before then, classes were taught at the Catholic church. The school opened for Grades 1-9 in September 1952.

In 1954, a furnace room and two more classrooms were added. Four additional classrooms and a gymnasium were added in 1958. Further additions included four more classrooms, a science room, a typing room and a library in 1962, along with a pond and water supply and a sewage lagoon constructed the same year. This innovation allowed for the addition of showers and change rooms.

Peak enrollment occurred in 1967 with 390 students. Senior High was first introduced at Eaglesham School in 1956 with the first graduation of 12 students.

In 1982, the Division received a class set of computers which traveled to the schools. In 1983, Eaglesham School added its first computer room of 20 Apple II computers. This was the beginning of an excellent computer program.

The school remains an active place in the community since receiving Division approval for public use in 1978.
